I received my BS in Biology from St. John's University in 2018. During my time there, I volunteered my time in the lab of Dr. Christopher Bassinet. His research focuses on the genes controlling the length of D. melanogaster sperm.
I entered the Evolution and Ecology Ph.D. program at the University of Illinois at Chicago in August of 2019, and have been a member of Dr. Alexander Shingleton's lab ever since. Under Alex's guidance, I hope to further my understanding sexual selection and study how the plasticity of sexual traits evolves in both sexes.
